Gables Motel

Tom, does a Great job with this Hotel. Not as modern as others but very quaint with good prices. Checkout the lobby for interesting bird's of the area, Hawk and Owls, which are shown beautifully. ( These are Taxidermy and licensed to be displayed by Canadian Wildlife. ) Rams and other Goats nearby plus Discount Tickets for Radium Hot Springs and other attractions available ask the front desk.

Tom is an awesome host. He went out of his way to make our stay amazing. We were on a motorcycle trip and rode all day in the rain. When we pulled up to our room he made us a warm cup of coffee while we moved our stuff into the room. He brought us an oscillating fan to dry out our wet clothes. Plus he went out and picked up pizza for us so we didn’t have to go back out in the rain. We would definitely stay here again.

The room was super clean and comfortable, and the price is great! The gentleman who checked me in was literally the nicest!!! He was so kind and helped me with some questions about the area. I would definitely stay here again!

Had a lovely time at the Gables with our family of 3! The host is so friendly and helpful! He really makes you feel like family! We booked room 10, which had a king bed and we easily fit in there with our 7 year old. We left our door open for a bit when we were loading our bags in and I think a few outdoor bugs wandered in because we found a big and a weird beetle of some kind in the room later. Not unhygienic bugs, just harmelss outdoor ones. Only complaint was that only one window opened, so it got hot later but we turned on the AC. That's the only reason for the 4 stars on the room.

After a week's road trip travelling through South AB and BC and staying at big time Hotels staffed by immigrants it was nice to experience the personal touch of this motel's Canadian owner / operator. We felt like we were staying at a friend's place! While all the hotels are begging and bugging us for a review, this is the only place I'm reviewing! Good job on every count, Tom and y'all.

May 18th we were in this hotel. convenient location. clean rooms. Comfortable bed, plenty of clean white towels, there is a hairdryer, microwave, coffee maker, refrigerator and TV. There is a heater in the room and bathroom. Owner Tom is a very hospitable person. He told us about local attractions, advised where to go. We recommend everyone to stay in this beautiful place.

Lovely, bit retro-style hotel at the "foothills" of the BC Rockies. The rooms were modern and stylish, and the bathroom seemed very recently renovated. Room included TV, sitting area, refrigerator, and microwave. The west-facing rooms take a beating in the sun, but it was fine at night with the windows open. The town has a grocer, liquor store, and several restaurants. It is all local in nature - not a chain in sight! (Big plus IMO). Well located with numerous hiking opportunities nearby and a quick drive over to Banff, etc. or a couple hours up to Glacier. Tom, the proprietor, is a wealth of information and so generous with his time and knowledge of the area. It is evident that he really cares about his customers and his property.

Host was very accommodating and friendly. Location was great and is perfect for a short stay! Rooms were decent.

I've stayed here many years during my annual bike trips down in the area. Super friendly staff, reasonable prices and clean rooms. One cool feature is i always get to watch the mountain sheep in the park across the street.

Nice, quiet little motel. Staff was great. Clean rooms and good price. Only thing stopping at 5⭐ from me is pool isn't on site. Would definitely stay again.
